5 Fun Christmas Traditions for your 4 year old!

1. Elf on the Shelf (Elf Spanish version)- This is a super fun tradition that your kid will love from 10 months on up to until 100! My kids wake up after Thanksgiving running through the house to see who will be the 1st to find their beloved Elves! They love when they are wearing accessories/clothes or have one of the pets (Reindeer, Artic Fox, or Saint Bernard)! You don't have to go all out. This tradition even works if you are feeling like being extra lazy. All you really have to do is move them throughout the house after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. You can choose from a girl/boy with brown/blue eyes. They have scooters and parachutes that are super cute as well! They even make a kit that helps them be flexible for easier staging (Click Here for link).

2.An Advent Calendar- Book Advent Calendar's are one of my favorite because my kids love getting a book a day and it is a great encouragement for emerging readers!

This animal cat and dog puzzle advent calendar is super fun too!

3. The Grinch- Dr. Seuss is a treasured writer in our house. My kids start to put on their Grinch clothes as soon as the weather permits. We love the Grinch ornaments, outdoor lights, and outdoor decorations. The new animated
Grinch is pretty great as well. One of the biggest reasons I love the Grinch is not only because of the sweet story, but it gives me a reason to put spinach in almost anything year round! My kids favorite are Grinch Pancakes and Waffles

4. Making Gingerbread Cookies- This is a ton of fun for your 4 year old or kids of almost any age in fact. Your little one can help with measurements, rolling out the dough, and cutting out fun Christmas shapes or a house shape for a gingerbread house. This is our favorite no unnatural sugar recipe.

5. Decorating the front of the house/the house in general..- Kids love making a home look magical! It gets my whole family in the Christmas spirit! (Yes they even make Grinch decorations to go with #3.)
